PA BANGOR — Bangor Council tackles park vandalism with new temporary curfew. The Borough Council unanimously approved a 10 p.m. curfew for public areas, a temporary measure implemented while the current curfew ordinance undergoes revision, in response to ongoing vandalism in borough parks. Manager Stephen Reider reported the council also approved a request to fill a part-time patrol officer vacancy, subject to applicant background screening.

The council accepted the resignation of Rosemarie Capone from the Park Board, with Council Member Marc Sperling acknowledging her service. The body advanced two ordinances to advertisement: the Vehicles, Traffic and Parking Ordinance, which includes 15-minute parking on Market Street between 1st and 4th Street, and the Street Excavation Ordinance.
